On 30^th December 2014, China Electronics News, published by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC,revealed the award list of 2014 China Semiconductor Industry. CEEDI is awarded the title of “2014 Excellent Engineering Design Firm in IC Industry” due to Samsung 12’’ 3D V-NAND Project in Xian. This project is executed by SYC, asubsidiary of CEEDI. China Electronics News gives detailed introduction of the project and the achievement of CEEDI ishighly recognized within the report.
Samsung 12’’ 3D V-NAND Project in Xian was put into operation on 9th May 2014. As the local design firm, CEEDIparticipated in the whole project process which includes project proposal, engineering design and final acceptance.
After the Line 16 Factory in Hwaseong, South Korea, this project becomes Samsung’s second global factory with 3D V-NANDproduction line. Comparing with other semiconductor factories, the 3D V-NAND production line uses more complicated technologies which bring more difficulties to the engineering design. CEEDI conquers all the difficulties and becomes the first Chinese firm to successfully complete such a project.
CEEDI’s success marks the breakthrough in engineering design for memory storage industry in China.
