CEEDI dispatched experts to undertake emergency detection on Tianjin’s explosion site

On 12th August 2015, massive explosions hit the Binhai New District in Tianjin. After the explosions happened, CEEDI timely dispatched experts to undertake the emergency detection on the explosion site.


CEEDI’s first five experts reached the explosion site at 17:00 on 13th August and started the technical detection work for Binhai Taida Logistic Park. This park is 2.5 km from the center of the explosion area and is seriously destroyed in the explosions. There are eight buildings covering an area of 160 m2. The major detection work is for the three first-grade public buildings where National Super Computer Tianjin Center is. The detection finished at 24:00 on 13th August and the center started operation at 10:00 on 14th August.


The rest of experts dispatched by CEEDI reached the site on 14th August and continue the detection work on other destroyed buildings in the park.
