CEEDI’s design for Zhengzhou New International Airport Control Tower is honored by the owner. The design for the control tower is not only focusing on navigation function, but also featuring the traditional local culture. The inspiration of design is originated from the bone flute (ancient instrumental in Henan Province) and the Gu (ancient wine cup mostly found in Henan Province). The tower’s curved shape responds gracefully to the existing buildings at the airport and expresses the unique classical culture of Henan Province.
