On 17^th July 2013, BOE G8.5 New Semiconductor Display Device and System Project was officially launched in Liang Jiang New Area, Chongqing Municipality. SYC, a subsidiary of CEEDI, undertook the engineering design and EMCP for the project. Mrs. Hu Ping, CEEDI’s president, Mr. Du Xiaoyang, SYC’s General Manager and Mr. Liu Yi, SYC’s Vice Manager were invited to present at the ceremony.

Mr. Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing municipality, was invited to address at the ceremony. Mr. Huang’s speech highlighted the importance of the project for Chongqing Municipality, especially for the industrial structure adjustment. Other senior officials invited included Mr. Ling Yueming and Mr. Chen Heping, Vice Mayors of Chonqing Municipality, Mr. Wang Dongsheng, Chief Manager of BOE Group and related chief officers from the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Beijing.

The total investment of this project is 32.8 billion RMB Yuan, covering an area of 58 hectares?with total floor area of 900,000 m2. BOE’s proprietary technologies will be adopted in the project, such as Oxide TFT, touch panel, ADSDS etc. The project will be completed and put into operation in mid-2015. After completion, it will assemble lap-top, tablet PC, display module of high-end panel, touch screen and TV.
