In the morning of April 14, 2009, the restructuring meeting of CEEDI with State Development & Investment Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SDIC) was ceremoniously held at CEEDI which marked all work in restructuring of CEEDI with SDIC were completely started. The president of SDIC and the secretary of the Party Wang Huisheng led major leaders of the corporation and leaders of each functional department to attend the meeting. President and secretary of the Party committee of CEEDI Hu Ping and all members of the leading group as well as leaders and some employees of the departments and units of CEEDI attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by President Hu Ping. Vice president of SDIC Shi Hongxiang announced the notice of SDIC restructuring with CEEDI. Chief of Inspecting Discipline Committee of SDIC Deng Shiji announced appointing Hu Ping as the special assistant to the president of SDIC and the decisions of the managerial committee of capital of SDIC.

Later, President Wang Huisheng made an ebullient speech. Firstly, he recognized the excellent result achieved by CEEDI over 50 years, and especially praised the success acquired by CEEDI continuously seeking development and innovation, and attached great expectations for future mutual cooperation, jointly promoting saving energy, lowering energy consumption and reducing pollutants discharge as well as industrial upgrading and transformation. In his speech, he emphasized the restructuring work were based on mutual trust, fair negotiation and harmoniously seeking development. Mutual complement and powerful combination had great significance to both parties. Meantime, he introduced the results achieved in industry, financial service industry and operating state-owned capital by SDIC as well as development strategies in new field based on consolidating current business. Finally, he proposed five points about this restructuring work: 1. further reinforce mutual understanding, trust and support to seek development plan jointly; 2. keep safe production and stable development as well as highly free developing space for the enterprises after restructuring; 3. collaborate to maximize efficiency; 4. maintain good business management and keep its own development features and advantages after restructuring; 5. keep continuous innovation and exploration, maintain development results of CEEDI and consolidate and step forward constantly, achieve greater results through integration.

Finally, President Hu Ping made a speech. She admired the results achieved by SDIC’s rapid development and state that this restructuring played a significant role in the development history of CEEDI. She emphasized we must take this restructuring as a chance to further promote scientific development of CEEDI. Creating a new start point on this higher and larger platform of SDIC, new development target must be set to seek greater development. She asked the staff of CEEDI to unify and collaborate, work hard, pioneer and innovate and advance with times to achieve constant, healthy and rapid developing target, contributing new strength to the development and expansion of SDIC.
