On April 13, 2009, the TFT-LCD 6G line project launching ceremony of Hefei BOE Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd was ceremoniously held at the construction site in Hefei New Station Development Zone. Leaders from Anhui province, MIIT and Hefei city, president Hu Ping, the general manager of S.Y. Technology Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd Du Xiaoyang, vice general manager Liuyi and the general manager of Shiyuan Xida Engineering Technology Co. Co., Ltd Su Gangmin attended the ceremony.

TFT-LCD 6G of Hefei BOE Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd was the first production project of high-generation LCD in China which was the industrial project with the largest investment scale, the highest technology and the widest incidence in Hefei city as well as the project with the largest scale, the highest technology and the most complex engineering construction in the panel projects in China. The total investment of this project was 17.5 billion yuan. This project was the third panel project that CEEDI undertook for BOE since CEEDI successfully completed the design and supervision of Beijing BOE 5G and the engineering design and project management of Chengdu BOE 4.5G. This project played a significant role in improving CEEDI’s technology in the field of high-generation panel project construction which enabled CEEDI to take a solid step forward to internationalization in engineering design and management of the cutting-edge high-tech field. The completion of this project would greatly promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional industrial structure in Hefei city and Anhui province.

Before the ceremony, President Ms Hu talked with the chairman of BOE and other leaders attended the ceremony cordially. After the ceremony, President Ms Hu and other leaders inspected the office of the project management at site and cordially greeted the project management team, and proposed specific requirements for project implement and encouraged everyone to ensure the successful achievement of the target of the project with the greatest passion, the most professional quality and the strictest attitude.
