In the late years, China-aided Ethiopia Agricultural Technology Model Centre supervised by Beijing Xida Construction Supervision Co., Ltd. under our institute holds its opening ceremony in the project field. Gu xiaojie, Ambassador of China in Ethiopia and Abala, Minister of the National Affairs Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Development presented the ceremony and made addresses. Qian Zhaogang, counselor in charge of commerce in China’s Embassy in Ethiopia and officials in the Ministry of Agriculture and local governments in Ethiopia presented the ceremony. 

China-aided Ethiopia Agricultural Technology Model Centre Project assumes a land area of 52 hectares that is typed into four functional regions namely crops test research, agricultural technological training, production modelling promotion, and industrialization development. This project was completed in November, 2010 and shall be returned to the recipient country three years after the operation. This project is one of the eight measures declared by President Hu Jintao in China-Africa Cooperative Forum Beijing Summit in November, 2006 and is also the fruit of technical cooperation of the two countries. Its completion shall serve as a positive modelling role for improving the production technologies of local peasants and for promoting incomes-rise. Meanwhile, this project shall become one of the models for friendly cooperation between the two countries of China and Ethiopia that shall further promote exchanges and cooperation in experience and technologies of agricultural development of the two countries.
