On August 31, 2009, Beijing Digital TV Industry Park & BOE TFT-LCD 8G Launching Ceremony was held in Beijing. Politburo Standing Committee and CPPCC Chairman Jia Qinglin, Politburo member and Secretary of Beijing Party committee Liu Qi, Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Li Yizhong, deputy Secretary of Beijing Party committee and Beijing Mayor Guo Jinlong, Chairman of Beijing CPPCC Yang Anjiang, deputy director of National Development and Reform Commission Zhang Xiaoqiang, vice mayor of Beijing Gou Zhongwen and other leaders attended the ceremony. President of CEEDI Hu Ping and the general manager of S.Y. Technology Engineering and Construction Co., LtdS.Y. Technology Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. Du Xiaoyang were invited to participate in this ceremony.

The project of BOE TFT-LCD 8G production line was designed by S.Y. Technology Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd of CEEDI and was currently the highest generation of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display project. This project was located in the Eastern District of Beijing Economic Development Zone and the total investment was RMB28.03 billion which was the largest one in single investment scale by Beijing electronic information industry. This project was started in the third quarter of 2009 and planned to put into production in the third quarter of 2011. The annual output was 90,000 pieces liquid crystal panels and the production process included array, color film, cell and module, mainly producing LCD for TV. The size of glass substrate was 2200mm×2500mm which can be used to produce TV LCD and module in 26-55 inch. This project would promote the upgrading of China’s flat panel display industry and end the situation of liquid crystal panel in large size completely relying on import.

CEEDI had established a good strategic partnership with BOE group and undertaken the design and project management work of Chengdu 4.5G line, Hefei 6G line and Beijing National Engineering Laboratory of BOE group, which made CEEDI fully equipped with the ability of designing TFT-LCD production line independently and excellent project management, keeping a leading position in the field of TFT-LCD engineering technology.

After the ceremony, President Hu Ping and the Board Chairman Wang Dongsheng, President Chen Yanshun president of BOE group had a cordial conversation and posed for pictures.
