date: 2011-02-24

At about 10:00 A.M., February 14, 2011, Mr. Denis Sassou-Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo, visited the construction site of general contracting project of Ewo Government, contracted by CEEDI-Congo. The government officials from Congo accompanied included: Mr. Pierre Mounssa in charge of Ministries of Planning, Economy, Territory and Politics Integration, State Affairs and Coordinator of the Economic Pole; Mr. Raymond Zéphirin Mboulou, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization; Mr. Rigobert Maboundou, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock; and Mr. Jean Jacques Bouya, Delegate-General for Major Projects and Vice President.

The President and government officials accompanied asked about the engineering progress and site conditions in details. Quite satisfied with the progress and quality of the project, they thought highly of high-efficient working style and proficient organizing skills of CEEDI-Congo; gave unstinted praise of professional dedication and hard work of CEEDI engineering technicians and extended our thanks to CEEDI-Congo for their efforts and contributions to the national construction of Congo in more than three years.

The Ewo Government project is one of the engineering design, supervision and general contracting projects contracted by CEEDI overseas in implementing the strategy of “Go Global” formulated by SDIC. In order to ensure smooth progress of the project, we have paid great attention to it, established the Project Management Department in CEEDI-Congo, enhanced the strength of personnel at posts, established and perfected the project management system and post responsibility system. Within two months of the commencement of the project since December 8, 2010, 80% of the periphery project has been completed; the main project will be finished by the end of April 4, 2011 and the whole project is estimated to be completed and delivered into use by the end of July. This project represents not only a tribute project for the National Day of the Republic of Congo but also a landmark building. It expands the brand influence of CEEDI in Congo and quickens the pace of CEEDI to implement the “Go Global” strategy of SDIC.
